Bacause of changes in Broadcom licensing model of vSphere, there are many questions on how many licenses of VCF, VVF and vSAN do we need.
I have created an interactive table, where you can specify your actual configuration and you will get information, how many of which licenses you require.
Each row represents one server. If you have more servers, you can summarize count of sockets and count of vSAN drives. For vSAN drives only Capacity drives are counted in. Into table enter the nominal capacity, which is presented at the vendors list in TB - 1TB = 1012 B
How to findout, how many Cores will be counted on you processor?
For Intel processors there exists a nice page, where you have complete specification not only for processors. https://ark.intel.com
You will be looking for a specification of "Total cores"

Close to equal for AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/products/specifications/server-processor.html Here it is mentioned as "# of CPU Cores“
Now the searched information fill in the table below and Here it is!
Update 11/2024: VVF now counts the included capacity not as Trial, but as a Base and increased it to 250GiB/core
